Last updated: 28 March 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order with The Cake Bar. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
The Cake Bar is a handmade artisan dessert business based in Leeds, United Kingdom. We sell directly to customers across the UK.
If you have any questions, please contact us before placing your order.
2. Eligibility
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You are a resident of the United Kingdom
- The information you provide is accurate and complete
3. Orders
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including if we suspect fraudulent activity or if a product is unavailable.
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order — acceptance occurs when your order is dispatched.
As our products are handmade fresh to order, please allow sufficient time for preparation before dispatch.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as other payment methods available at checkout.
5. Delivery
We deliver within the United Kingdom. Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. The Cake Bar is not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers, adverse weather, or circumstances beyond our control.
Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery. Please ensure someone is available to receive perishable orders.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence so we can resolve the issue promptly.
6. Perishable Goods
Our products are handmade fresh and are perishable. Please follow any storage and consumption instructions provided with your order. The Cake Bar cannot be held responsible for products that are not stored or consumed correctly after delivery.
7. Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable and handmade nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns. However, if your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or of unsatisfactory quality, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue.
We will assess each case individually and may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
For more information, please see our Refund Policy.
8. Allergies and Dietary Information
Our products are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, and other allergens. While we take care to label our products accurately, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
If you have a severe allergy or dietary requirement, please contact us before ordering. It is your responsibility to check ingredient and allergen information before purchasing.
Our products are Halal certified and suitable for vegetarians unless otherwise stated.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Cake Bar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the value of your order.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
